​Hillside is a beautiful, detached two-bedroom cottage, built using original croft stone, on the stunning island of Colonsay. It offers spectacular panoramic views; from-the-door hiking and cycling, and easy access to nearby beaches, hills and sea cliffs. With vaulted ceilings and underfloor heating, this exquisitely designed house is perfect for both restorative and active stays.

Situated within the hamlet of Lower Kilchattan, Hillside is all on one level, with oak flooring throughout. The main room is bright and open, with a large wall-to-ceiling window looking out to the hills and sea, offering inspiring views. Original paintings on the walls include a number of local artists' work.

 

The large dining table is perfect for spreading out maps to plan the next day’s adventure, or to sketch the surrounding hills. The well-equipped kitchen also has a piano and there is a cosy seating area around a wood stove, perfect for settling in with a good book.

 

The high ceilings in both bedrooms provide a sense of calm and space. The double bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom and views from the bed of sunrise over the hill. The twin bedroom offers views to the sea and an adjoining shower room. 

 

The entrance hall provides plenty of space for all your outdoor gear and the utility room has a washer/dryer, freezer and drying area.

 

Outside, there is parking space for two cars, along with a garden and south-facing patio looking out to the hills and the sea.
